Created in collaboration with Swiss leather specialist Cervo Volante, the Oris x Cervo Volante Big Crown Pointer Date brings a thoughtful approach to sustainability to one of Oris’s most enduring designs. Rooted in the Big Crown’s aviation heritage dating to 1938, this special edition combines vintage-inspired character with responsibly sourced materials and distinctly Swiss craftsmanship. The 40mm stainless steel case features the collection’s signature oversized crown and finely fluted bezel, while a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating reinforces its classic profile. The dial is detailed with Arabic numeral hour markers, luminous hands, and Oris’s hallmark central pointer date hand, which indicates the date along the outer perimeter of the dial. Its warm, heritage-inspired detailing gives the watch an understated character that complements the natural materials of the collaboration. At its heart is the Swiss automatic Oris Calibre 754, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and providing approximately 41 hours of power reserve. The movement delivers reliable everyday performance while powering the signature pointer date complication that has defined the Big Crown collection for generations. Completing the watch is a sustainably sourced Cervo Volante deer leather strap, crafted from hides that would otherwise go unused and chosen for their natural character and supple feel.
